In the context of the rapid digital transformation of the architecture field, Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become an essential skill for future architects. More than just a modeling tool, BIM is a collaborative methodology centered around the intelligent management of project information throughout its entire lifecycle – from design to demolition.
This course is designed for fifth-year architecture students who wish to enrich their final thesis project with a professional and innovative approach, by integrating BIM tools into their architectural practice. Through a hands-on, practice-oriented teaching method (learning by doing), students will be introduced to the main features of Revit Architecture, multidisciplinary coordination, BIM standards, and collaborative platforms.
The course emphasizes the development of professional habits, structured digital workflows, and a deep understanding of key issues such as information quality, interoperability, and collaboration in real-world projects. It prepares students not only to create a BIM model, but also to actively contribute to BIM-based projects in their future professional careers.
